Data controller
This site is operated by Rentacentro, S.A., the machinery rental division of Grupo ConstruMarket, headquartered at Km 21½ Carretera CA-4, Zaragoza, La Libertad, El Salvador. We also operate branches in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama under the same RentaCentro brand, and this policy applies in all four countries.
What data we collect
We collect two types of information:
- Data you give us directly: when you fill out a quote, purchase, contact or promotion form — your name, company, email, phone, country, the equipment you're interested in, rental dates, and any message or project detail you add.
- Browsing data: collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools while you browse the site — pages visited, time on site, device/browser type, and an approximate location (country or city).
What we use your data for
- Responding to your quote or contact request as quickly as possible.
- Putting you in touch with the sales rep or branch in your country.
- Following up commercially on equipment rental, purchase or promotions.
- Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it — what works, what doesn't.
- Measuring the performance of our digital advertising.
Where your data is stored
When you submit a form, the information travels to our own backend (hosted on Microsoft Azure) and is then logged in the group's CRM (Zoho), where the commercial team in your country follows up. We don't share this data with providers outside this flow, except as needed to process it (hosting, CRM, and the analytics tools described below).
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to manage our measurement tools: Google Analytics 4 (on-site behavior) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and anonymous session recordings to understand the user experience). These tools use cookies and similar technologies.
We apply Google Consent Mode v2: if you visit us from the European Economic Area or the UK, you'll see a cookie notice and measurement stays off until you accept it. Outside that region, standard measurement runs by default (without data that personally identifies you).
You can disable or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have this under Privacy / Site settings). Disabling them doesn't stop you from using the site, though some features may stop personalizing.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes outside Grupo ConstruMarket.
How long we keep your data
We keep your contact data for as long as there's an active or potential commercial relationship (an ongoing quote, an active customer), and for a reasonable time afterward for administrative, accounting or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see your rights below.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to: access the data we hold about you, correct it if it's outdated or wrong, or request that we delete it from our systems. We reply through the same channel you contact us on.
Minors
This site is aimed at businesses and construction professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor provided us with information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or applicable regulations change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
